Family Owl Outing
(6 - Adults) 5:00 - 6:30 pm
Discover the secret world of owls. Learn what makes these raptors excellent night predators with a presentation followed by a trail hike to hopefully hear or spot one of Huntley's resident owls. Children must be accompanied by a registered adult.
*The Art of the Book: Calligraphy
(12 - Adults) 1:00 - 2:00 pm
In honor of Huntley residents who loved both books and art, we offer a set of classes that introduce different aspects of the art of booking making. Calligrapher Mary Teichman says that 'calligraphy is a great antidote to modern life.' Explore the art of beautiful writing with a variety of pens and brushes. These classes may be taken along or in combination.
Owl Outing
(Adults) 4:30 - 6:30 pm
These nocturnal raptors are pair-bonding and looking for nesting sites at this time of year. Prowl the park after dark to listen for and learn about our local owls, and possibly see a barred owl. Meet at the Visitor Center and dress for the weather and standing off trail.
Nature for Tiny Tots (24-42 months)
10 - 11 am
Children and their parent learn about plants, animals, and their habitat through songs, crafts, and activities. Topics vary each class.
Naturally Beautiful
(Adults) 2:00 - 4:00 pm
Learn the art of using essential oils to create your own natural beauty products. These simple and effective ingredients are free from chemicals and artificial fragrances. Learn about lip balms, hair care, lotions. and scrubs. Make and take your own creation!

Learn about the different Christmas traditions people shared at Huntley over the years. Share a glass of hot cider and shortbread cookies as we make a small gift for a loved one. Then help us illuminate the house and hill as the evening draws to an end.
Boardwalk Astronomy
(12 and up), 5:00 -7:00 pm.
What's new in the night sky? Join park naturalists as they take you on a tour of constellations, comets and other current events happening in the heavens above. Canceled in case of rain or other severe weather.
Winter Wetlanders (6-12 yrs.)
9 am - 4 pm

Discover winter water dynamics with science experiments, pond and stream studies, games, stories, crafts and activities. Learn about the magic of snowflakes and make your own crystal snowflake. Winter Snow Bunnies (4-6 yrs.)

How do rabbits, deer and beavers stay warm and find food? Join Park Naturalists in this 3 day camp to learn about these amazing animals and hopefully catch a glimpse of them in the wild.
